Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These terms apply when you use Retinue on the web, iOS, macOS, staging or beta builds, and related backend services.
Using Retinue
Retinue is an AI meeting companion. It can listen during meetings, surface context, suggest questions, check claims, draft notes, and prepare follow-up work. You may use Retinue only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with these terms.
If you use Retinue for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to use it for that organization or that you are personally responsible for your use.
Accounts And Access
You are responsible for your account, device, login credentials, and any activity under your account. Keep your access secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe an account is being misused, creates risk for Retinue or others, or violates these terms.
Meeting Consent And Confidentiality
You are responsible for deciding when it is appropriate to use Retinue. That includes notifying participants, obtaining any required consent, and respecting workplace, customer, legal, and confidentiality obligations that apply to the meeting.
Do not use Retinue to record or process information you are not allowed to process.
AI Outputs
Retinue uses AI systems that can be incomplete, stale, or wrong. Outputs may include mistakes in transcripts, summaries, claims, sources, definitions, suggested questions, or drafted follow-ups.
Retinue may draft or queue work, but you remain responsible for reviewing, approving, sending, or relying on any output. Do not treat Retinue as legal, financial, medical, investment, or professional advice.
Actions And Integrations
Retinue may connect to third-party services such as calendars, authentication providers, payment providers, meeting tools, storage providers, AI providers, or future work tools. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and policies.
Where Retinue supports external actions, such as messages, scheduling, document edits, or workflow updates, we aim to separate suggestions from actions. You are responsible for approving any external action before it is sent or applied.
Mac Beta And Direct Downloads
Retinue Mac beta builds may be distributed directly from retinueapp.com rather than through the Mac App Store. Direct-download builds may require microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permissions, and updates are manual unless we introduce an automatic updater later.
Staging builds and beta builds are for testing. They may be unstable, lose data, contain bugs, or change without notice.
Payments And Plans
Retinue may offer free tiers, trials, paid plans, subscriptions, usage limits, or beta access. Prices, limits, and features may change over time. If payments are processed through Apple, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another provider, their payment terms may also apply.
Unless required by law or the relevant app-store/payment provider, fees are non-refundable once charged.
Acceptable Use
You must not use Retinue to:
- Break the law or violate the rights of others.
- Process meeting content without the required authority or consent.
- Upload malware, attack systems, or bypass security controls.
- Reverse engineer Retinue except where the law allows it.
- Use Retinue to build a competing service by copying non-public product behavior, prompts, or systems.
- Overload, scrape, resell, or abuse the service.
Your Content And Our Product
You keep ownership of the content you provide to Retinue. You give us permission to process it as needed to provide, secure, debug, support, and improve Retinue.
Retinue, including the software, design, brand, models, prompts, workflows, documentation, and service infrastructure, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Retinue to you.
Service Availability
Retinue is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or that Retinue will meet every need. We may change, pause, or discontinue features, especially during beta.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Retinue will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made in reliance on AI outputs.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as Retinue changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
These terms are intended to be clear for beta users and early customers. They should be reviewed by counsel before major public or enterprise rollout.
